Just a few days after the arrival of U17, the former sea dogs got down to work: the ‘Submariners Live Tours’ in Sinsheim, which started on 10 August, proved to be an outstanding highlight. Enthusiastic visitors immersed themselves in the fascinating world of submarine travel with former submariners from the German Submariners' Association.

The guided tours not only offered exciting insights into the technology and history of the U17 submarine, but also lively stories and personal anecdotes from the submariners' everyday lives. In addition to the exterior tour of U17, participants were also able to marvel at numerous original artefacts from daily life on board - an experience that delighted technology fans and history buffs alike.

Due to the great success and overwhelming demand, we extended the guided tours for another month. This gave even more visitors the opportunity to enjoy this extraordinary experience and learn more about life on board a submarine directly from the experienced ‘sea dogs’.
